Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato

The Loughran family took home the ‘Best European Car’ award and a class award at the 2012 Kuwait Concours d'Elegance with their Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato.

The Kuwait Concours d'Elegance has become perhaps the best classic car show in the Arab Gulf and the 2012 show was their best to date. It was made extra special as Aston Martin launched the new V12 Zagato at the show and it was joined by an original 1963 example owned by the Loughran family, DB4GT/0189/R.

The Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and desirable classic cars of today, only 19 were produced between 1960 and 1963. The design has gone on to be widely regarded as one of the most beautiful of all time. The DB4 GT Zagato was bodied using a ‘Superleggera’ design by Carozzeria Touring in Milan.

DB4GT/0189/R is presented in its original colour of Caribbean Pearl Blue and Red hide, the car stood proud next to the modern V12 Zagato of today which had its launch receiving admiration from the public and press.

This is not the first time Aston Martin have used this car to help promote new models. On the 50th anniversary of the DB4GT Zagato, Aston Marin were loaned DB4GT/0189/R at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It served as a great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary and help promote new models they launched at the Motor Show.
