Enzo Ferrari once described the E-Type as “the most beautiful car ever made”. The Grand Touring design was the result of the mathematical and engineering talent of aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer.
This outstanding 1966 Series 1 4.2 Roadster which has won multiple North American awards is the best example we have come across, thanks to its painstaking nut and bolt restoration. Originally supplied new in the UK this car was in the care of its previous owner for 37 years in the United States.
This actual car was featured in Octane’s September edition where a nine page article described both the car and the E-Type in detail. Octane’s Robert Coucher summed up the car: "it is simply one of the best, it is essentially as-new due to the fact it is a 100-point concours winner." Driving this car reminds you of why it was the darling of Carnaby Street and why the Beatles and George Best owned similar models.
