Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante X Pack Engine

Back to Aston Martin

We are delighted to present this Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante finished in Royal Blue with Light Tan Leather and an electronically operated Dark Blue mohair hood. The Aston Martin V8 model was launched in 1969 as a replacement to the DBS. In 1977 Aston Martin gave the model an engine upgrade to ‘Vantage’ specification. The last production variant of the V8 engine was launched in 1985, using an electronic fuel injection system, new cylinder heads & exhaust system. Among the benefits of this engine was a reduced engine height to give better driving stability. 1978 saw the launch of the long awaited Volante (convertible) version although it was not until 1986 that it was available with the Vantage specification engine.

The evolution of this model resulted in a muscular, aggressive-looking car that was claimed to hold the world's fastest convertible title. It is believed that there were a total of 166 Vantage Volante’s built until the end of production in December 1989. This Vantage specification example has the desirable 4-Speed Automatic Transmission meaning it is presented in perhaps its most desirable form. The condition and service history of this car is exceptional and presents a wonderful and enjoyable investment opportunity.
